How Redux collects, uses, and protects your information.
Last updated: 25 March 2026This Privacy Policy explains how Redux collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our service. Redux operates both the main streaming search platform and a separate community feedback platform powered by Fider — this policy covers both.
The feedback platform uses Redux Login, our own OAuth authentication system, so you sign in with your existing Redux sync account rather than a third-party provider. No external accounts or third-party sign-in services are used anywhere on Redux.
By using Redux, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Redux is designed to be privacy-first. The table below summarises every category of data associated with your use of Redux and where it is stored.

If you choose to set up sync, your username and password are stored on our servers solely to authenticate you and link your data across devices. See Section 3. |

We do not collect any personal information such as real names, email addresses, or profile pictures at any point. |

| Feedback Posts, Votes & Comments | Our Servers |
Stored on feedback platform servers for as long as the platform operates. |
Redux offers an optional sync feature that lets your favourites, watch later list, and watch history follow you across multiple devices. Setting up sync is entirely optional — the platform works fully without it.
When you choose to set up sync, the following information is stored on our servers:
We do not collect your real name, email address, or any other personal information as part of the sync system. Your sync credentials are used solely to authenticate you and retrieve your data — they are not used for any other purpose, not shared with third parties, and not used for advertising or tracking.
Your sync account also serves as your identity on the Redux feedback platform via Redux Login. See Section 6 for details.
The main Redux platform does not use cookies. Your preferences and lists are stored using browser-local storage only.
The feedback platform (Fider) may use cookies to maintain login sessions and authentication tokens issued by Redux Login. Disabling cookies on the feedback platform may prevent it from functioning correctly.
On the main platform, we do not collect personal information, so there is nothing to use, sell, or share. Your browsing activity on Redux is not tracked.
The Redux feedback platform uses Redux Login for authentication — our own OAuth system built on top of your existing sync account. There is no Google sign-in, no third-party accounts, and no external data sharing involved.
When you sign in to the feedback platform, Redux Login passes the following information from your sync account to the feedback platform:
No email address, profile picture, or personal information is collected or passed at any point. This information is used solely to:
Because Redux Login is entirely self-hosted, no authentication data leaves our servers. Your sync credentials are never transmitted to or visible by the feedback platform — only the details listed above are passed via a signed token.
Favourites, Watch Later, and Watch History are stored on our servers and retained for as long as required to operate the service.
Sync account data (username, password, display name, and internal user ID) is stored on our servers for as long as required to provide the sync feature. This data is not shared with third parties for any purpose.
Feedback platform data (username, display name, posts, votes, comments) is stored on servers operated by the site administrator for as long as required to operate the platform. Data is not shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are taken to protect stored information from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.
Please be aware that sync account passwords are currently stored as plain text. We recommend using a unique password for your Redux sync account that you do not use on any other service.
Redux Login uses signed JWT tokens to authenticate sessions between the feedback platform and the sync system. Your password is never transmitted to or stored by the feedback platform.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Use of Redux is at your own risk.
Redux is not specifically directed toward children under the age required by local law to create an online account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through the feedback platform, please contact us so it can be removed.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Changes will take effect once published on this page. Continued use of Redux after changes are published indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
